Aptive/Artemis seeks an Operations Lead responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution, coordination, and management of program operations supporting large-scale federal transition assistance services for military Service members and Veterans. This position provides operational leadership for geographically dispersed teams across multiple installations worldwide, ensuring consistent service delivery, staffing coverage, scheduling coordination, and operational readiness. The Operations Lead serves as a key liaison between Government leadership, regional management teams, and onsite personnel to ensure all operational requirements, reporting obligations, and customer support activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with contractual and program standards.

Primary Responsibilities

The Operations Lead is responsible for managing workforce operations, monitoring performance metrics, supporting staffing and deployment activities, tracking operational risks, and ensuring continuity of services across all assigned locations. This role oversees operational reporting, facilitates communication between stakeholders, supports training and onboarding initiatives, and assists with implementing quality assurance and process improvement efforts. The Operations Lead also ensures operational alignment with program management plans, supports issue resolution, and maintains awareness of evolving program requirements to minimize disruptions and maintain high levels of customer service and mission effectiveness.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience managing operational programs within the Federal Government or Department of Defense environment, with demonstrated expertise in coordinating large-scale operations and leading distributed teams. Candidates should have excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience overseeing geographically dispersed personnel, coordinating schedules and resources, and supporting government program execution is highly preferred.

This is a contingent hire position.

This position is remote. However, travel for occasional in-person meetings will be required.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Proven experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a dispersed workforce.
  • Ability to issue directives and schedules necessary to ensure effective project management.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
