Job description

The Interior Design Assistant supports the design team by contributing to various stages of project development across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality environments. Working closely with the Project Manager and Senior Designer within a multidisciplinary team, this role involves independent tasks as well as collaboration to ensure design accuracy and client satisfaction. Responsibilities span from drafting and material selection to client coordination and presentation preparation, utilizing tools such as AutoCAD to enhance project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support design development and drafting using AutoCAD
  • Select materials and coordinate with vendors
  • Assist in client communication and coordination
  • Prepare presentations and project documentation
  • Conduct research and analyze current design trends
  • Provide quoting and estimating assistance
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and Senior Designers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in interior design
  • Associate's degree in Interior Design or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of space planning and materials
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
