Service Advisor Job Description:
Vortex Doors, America's highest quality and most customer-centric commercial and industrial door repair company, is seeking a motivated Service Advisor to join our company. We are considering applicants with at least 4+ years of door industry experience.
As a Commercial Door Service Advisor, your primary responsibility is to provide products and services to Customers, promote long term Customer retention, and follow through with the Internal Customer Service Team to ensure the Customer is satisfied with the work we performed.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Customers to provide accurate and suitable products and services to meet their needs
  • Follow up on leads provided and look for new opportunities, looking for ways to generate business and new leads
  • Work with the Team Leader and Service Manager to achieve sales goals
  • Follow up on all pending Service Quotes in a set time frame
  • Provide some technical training to Service Technicians
  • Manage and order shop and truck materials as needed
  • Assist in Customer job scheduling and project management
  • Provide the best Vortex experience possible
  • Build valuable relationships with all Customers, including key accounts
  • Always promote Vortex positively
  • Using lead generation tools, identify commercial and industrial construction projects that may require overhead doors, initiating contact with the general contractor and/or architect to gather project information and provide information on our products and services.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for new construction projects.
  • Complete cost estimates within bid date/time.
  • Present and explain the benefits of our services to potential clients.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service by following up on leads, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the service and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Effective listening: Listening is the key to effective communication. Without the ability to listen carefully to what a Customer is saying, the message could be easily misunderstood and misinterpreted

What you should have:
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience in field service and commercial door experience a must
  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as work instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members and leadership
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a situation
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn
  • A good driving record with valid driver's license
