Project Manager-Commercial Construction

Commercial General Contractor | Confidential Employer

Location: South Florida

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits

About the Opportunity

A respected commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who can manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability
  • Partner with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear client communication
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements
Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years of Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control
  • Experience with commercial renovations, institutional, healthcare, higher education, or ground-up construction preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
