Job description

A well-established commercial general contractor in the Portland area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of projects from estimating and preconstruction through closeout while working directly with company leadership in a highly collaborative environment.

The company has built a strong reputation across the region and is continuing to grow, with a diverse portfolio that includes Class A office, industrial, retail, restaurant, and medical construction projects, including both tenant improvements and ground-up builds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from bid award through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field crews
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve challenges to ensure successful delivery
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Proven experience managing commercial projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, estimating, and subcontractor management skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Ability to travel to project sites within approximately one hour of Portland, averaging about 20% of the time
