Job description

The Position The Port of Portland is hiring an Information Technology Change Management Analyst* The Information Change Management Analyst supports the Port's technology modernization efforts by building the organization through people-centered change. This role strengthens organizational readiness, fosters stakeholder commitment, and helps ensure successful adoption of new systems and business processes. From the hiring manager: The Port of Portland is undergoing a major ERP transformation that will impact all employees.

We're seeking a change management analyst to lead the human side of this shift, helping people learn new ways of working while embracing what makes working at the Port special. If you thrive on high-impact projects, cross-departmental collaboration, and empowering team members through major technological evolution, this is your chance to make a lasting mark. You'll help with stakeholder management, creating engaging communications that help people succeed (including documents, video, and online posts), and keeping a pulse on overall engagement and readiness alongside a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic team.

*This is a Limited Duration role lasting approximately 24 - 36 months to assist the Port of Portland with an ERP implementation. The role may be lengthened or shortened based on business need. Essential Job Duties Change Impact Analysis & Readiness Support Identify, map, and group stakeholders and impacts.

Assist in conducting organizational and stakeholder impact assessments and change readiness evaluations. Help identify change touchpoints and document affected business processes, roles, and user groups. Maintain change risk and readiness tracking tools.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Support Draft and edit multi-channel communication materials (email, presentations, FAQs, SharePoint). Track stakeholder engagement activities and feedback. Maintain stakeholder maps and assist in tailoring communication materials to different audiences.

Prepare talking points and change scripts for leaders, supervisors, and others. Training & Adoption Tracking Coordinate logistics for training sessions, readiness events, and workshops. Track user training completion, adoption metrics, feedback, and provide reports.

Support, develop, or quality check creation of job aids, FAQs, quick reference guides, and online learning materials. Full position description available upon request. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) + years of experience in change management, business analysis, project coordination, or organizational development Two (2) + years of proven success in supporting large-scale change within complex organizations Bachelor's Degree - Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or related field, or a combination of related education, industry certification, and demonstrated experience.

Ability to pass a criminal history check (due to access to secure information at the airport). Clear credit check (due to access to sensitive financial information). Preferred but not required Prosci Change Practitioner Certification Video editing experience Senior-level Knowledge, Skills & Abilities desired for this role Change Management Expertise Focused on the People Side of Change Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or strategic messages into business-friendly language Ability to build trust and influence across diverse roles and levels of an organization Facilitate discussions across cross-functional teams and management Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams or priorities concurrently Supplemental and Selection Information Selection Process: (tentative schedule): A minimum qualification evaluation of the education, training, and experience of submitted application packets will take place by Talent Acquisition until this role closes.

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) Panel will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials. Our goal is to notify candidates who are selected for interviews the week following the close of the posting. We will then schedule the virtual first round of interviews with candidates who successfully passed the SME evaluation.
