Overview
Job Purpose
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking a highly capable Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Atlanta or Jacksonville office. This individual will work directly with global infrastructure resource team leads to drive the successful delivery of complex technology infrastructure projects. The team is comprised of entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and highly experienced individuals and we are looking for someone with strong people skills that can drive change.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage and execute delivery of complex technology infrastructure projects across a dynamic global environment
  • Develop project work plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, risks and contingency plans
  • Facilitate communication across multiple functional organizations, technology, teams, vendors, and finance
  • Create cross-functional project plans that include scope definition, schedules, stakeholder identification, resourcing, communication plans and risk analysis
  • Work with internal and external customers to manage, set and communicate delivery expectations
  • Translate high-level scopes into structured, actionable project schedules; track and adapt plans as environments change
  • Run outcome-driven meetings with clear agendas, assigned action owners and deadlines
  • Proactively surface issues, risks and decisions to stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO
  • Coach and support junior team members; this role has a clear pathway into vertical management for the right person

Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in a dedicated project management role
  • Proven ability to manage project resources in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience coaching junior team members or acting in a lead PM capacity
  • Technical knowledge of data center and infrastructure technologies: working knowledge of networks, servers, databases, end-user equipment, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management fundamentals: scheduling, resource planning, risk and issue management, estimating
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PPMx or similar)
  • Ability to present confidently to senior and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with ambiguity and drive clarity rather than wait for it
  • Composure and emotional intelligence in high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience in financial services or technology industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK, SDLC, Agile/SAFe) and ability to apply the right approach to the project type
  • Formal PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or equivalent) is a plus
