WHAT WE NEED

Bopat Electric is hiring experienced Commercial Electricians to support commercial electrical construction projects.

This position is ideal for an experienced Commercial Electrician with commercial construction experience who enjoys building projects, working as part of a skilled field team, mentoring apprentices, and delivering high-quality electrical installations safely and efficiently.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform commercial electrical installations, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and electrical upgrades on active construction projects
  • Install conduit, feeders, switchgear, panelboards, lighting, power distribution, motor controls, and other commercial electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Work closely with foremen, project managers, apprentices, and field crews to complete commercial construction projects safely and efficiently
  • Mentor and train apprentices while supporting crew productivity and development
  • Track materials, tools, and job site resources as needed
  • Promote a safe work environment and represent the company professionally on all job sites

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Active Maryland Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent Journeyman License from a reciprocating state
  • 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, including conduit, switchgear, panelboards, power distribution, lighting, motor controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
  • Strong understanding of NEC requirements, commercial construction practices, and job site safety standards
  • Experience mentoring apprentices and working effectively as part of a field crew
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license
