Clean Scapes is hiring Tree Care Groundsmen to support our growing Arbor Division. Groundsmen play a critical role on the jobsite by supporting climbers and equipment operators, maintaining safe work zones, and keeping production moving efficiently.

This position offers a clear path for advancement into climbing, equipment operation, plant health care (PHC), or crew leadership roles.

What You’ll Do

  • Drag brush, handle debris, and support jobsite cleanup
  • Feed and monitor the chipper under direction of the crew leader
  • Use hand tools, blowers, saws, and other ground-based equipment
  • Set up and maintain safe, organized work zones with cones and signage
  • Communicate clearly with climbers and crew leaders
  • Assist with rigging support from the ground
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard assessments
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

Entry-Level Groundsman

  • Learning tree care operations, tools, and safety procedures
  • Supporting production and cleanup under supervision

Intermediate Groundsman

  • Working independently on ground operations
  • Assisting with rigging support and jobsite organization
  • Supporting and mentoring newer team members

Advanced Groundsman / Ground Lead

  • Leading ground operations on site
  • Supporting crew leadership with safety, communication, and production flow
  • Mentoring and training entry-level groundsmen

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
