Summary:
Works under the direction and guidance of a centralized project management office (PMO) supporting the management of large-scale enterprise-type projects utilizing standardized project management tools, templates and methodologies for successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Controlling:-Monitors ongoing project execution including progress against timelines, benefit realization, risk and issue resolution as well as resource and budget variances.-Prepares and facilitates project governance meetings in support of the executive sponsor (C-suite executive).-Contributes to the project portfolio dashboard report outcomes by providing key project information.Execution:-Recommends and coordinates project-wide meeting cadence, leads meetings, documents next steps (include ability to capture action notes), follows-up and ensures senior level stakeholders (VPs and above) regularly provide input.-Maintains a project timeline, budget estimates (where applicable) and status reports.-Manages and coordinates project teams.-Implements project strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget.-Conducts risk assessments for projects and facilitates mitigation strategies.-Manages an in-depth implementation plan for large scale projects with multiple workstreams and interdependencies.Planning:-Creates project charters to solidify the scope, goals and focus of the project.-Facilitates scoping sessions and collecting project requirements.-Develops implementation plans to include sequencing and work breakdown structure as part of large-scale project planning with the objective to ensure functional teams can deliver projects on-time and in-scope.-Facilitates and designs action plans to include prioritization sessions to help stakeholders focus on high-outcome deliverables.-Establishes and confirms all interdependencies through an in-depth stakeholder analysis process to ensure engagement of all internal strategic partners in the execution of the project.-Coordinates subprojects and tasks across various lines of the business.-Drives project planning and resolution, (evaluate risks and issues, blockers, interdependencies) and provides stakeholders with timely updates.-Partners with stakeholders to facilitate and identify key performance indicators to track performance outcomes.Closing:-Responsible for gathering all key milestones and deliverables to ensure acceptance by all stakeholders.-Leads the preparation and coordination of a project close out report and meeting to ensure smooth transitions back to operations.-Designs operational plans for projects that are transitioning to market.
