Miami, FL | Major General Contractor | Ground-Up High-Rise

We're representing one of South Florida's leading General Contractors in the search for an experienced Project Executive to join its Miami team.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who has built their career delivering large-scale, ground-up high-rise construction and wants to work on some of the most significant projects in South Florida.

The contractor has an exceptional pipeline of work across Miami and is looking for proven high-rise construction professionals as the business continues to grow.

The Role

As Project Executive, you'll have overall responsibility for major high-rise projects and the teams delivering them, working closely with ownership, clients, design teams and field leadership.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Executive oversight of large-scale ground-up high-rise projects
  • Leading Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and project teams
  • Overall responsibility for project financial performance
  • Contract administration and commercial management
  • Client and ownership relationships
  • Oversight of procurement and subcontractor buyout
  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets, risk and overall performance
  • Working closely with General Superintendents and field leadership
  • Leading owner, architect and contractor meetings
  • Managing change, claims and commercial issues
  • Supporting projects from preconstruction through delivery and closeout
  • Developing and mentoring project teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, successfully and to the highest standard

What We're Looking For

For this position, ground-up high-rise experience is essential.

We're interested in speaking with experienced Project Executives, Project Directors and Senior Project Managers who have a track record delivering major vertical construction projects for established General Contractors.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • 15+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Significant experience with a General Contractor
  • Proven ground-up high-rise project experience
  • Experience delivering major projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Strong understanding of project financials, contracts and risk
  • Experience leading large project teams
  • Excellent client and owner-facing skills
  • Strong subcontractor and trade partner management experience
  • Experience working on complex projects with demanding schedules and logistics

Experience across luxury residential, condominium, hospitality, mixed-use or other major high-rise construction would be particularly relevant.

Why Consider It?

This is an opportunity to join a contractor with a major presence in South Florida and an outstanding pipeline of high-profile work.

You'll be given genuine responsibility for significant projects, work alongside some of the strongest construction professionals in the market and have the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

The company is prepared to consider exceptional high-rise professionals from outside South Florida, with relocation available for the right individual.
