Founded in 1999, California Waters is one of California's fastest growing Design, Engineering, Construction and Service firms, specializing in water features and recreational aquatics.

Job Description

Applicants for the position of Project Engineer shall possess a minimum of three years of experience in either an engineering or construction capacity as a hands-on Project Engineer for commercial and public works jobs. Any experience in our specialization is a plus, including swimming pools, aquatic facilities, water features, fountains, and lakes and ponds.

The Project Engineer will directly assist the Senior Project Managers in planning, managing and executing on the day-to-day activities and operations of the Project Managers' active and pending jobs, throughout California. You will be the right hand helper to the Project Manager in general, anticipating and reacting to his/her needs, and the needs of the project itself.

Qualifications

Strong experience with RFIs, Change Orders, Submittals, Daily Job Logs, and all similar paperwork.

Hands-on experience with the daily management of subcontractors.

ย Ability to manage close outs.

ย Supervise procurement needs and interface with purchasing department for same.

Obtain permits, licenses. inspections, and similar needs.

Interact and assist Superintendent and Foremen with their daily schedules and requirements.

Flexible and self starter, able to multi-task while also being highly detail oriented.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be professional and polished in appearance and speech in order to communicate with General Contractors, Developers, Public and Municipal Employees, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and internal colleagues.

Experience and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Construction Engineering Management or equivalent experience is preferred.

3+ years of formal training combined with field experience in Project Engineering.

Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Outlook, Excel and Word; Project and Power Point a plus).

Experience with Salesforce, Adobe, Bluebeam and/or CADD is not required, but considered a plus.
