General Profile

Essential Functions
  • Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
  • Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
  • Provides technical support for the engineering process.
  • Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
  • Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
  • Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience
  • Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking. Design review. Project engineering. Resource planning. Technical project management. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software. Project management software.
  • Overcome obsolescence challenges on baseline frozen programs. Work with manufacturing team to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives on established production lines. Advise program technical risks to program management and lead mitigation efforts. Represent engineering on program material review board (MRB) and work with program quality engineer to disposition non-conforming hardware.
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelors Degree with 4 years' experience working in defense industry.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Team Leadership, organized, strong analytical thinking. Effective oral and written communicator. Familiaritywith root cause analysis tools. Working knowledge of aerospace specs and standards (i.e. MIL-STD, MIL-SPEC, IPC, ASTM, AMS). Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and project managementsoftware.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Pay Range (USD): $93,500.00 - $126,500.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
