Position Summary
WattBridge, the world's preeminent LM6000 delivery platform, is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead all development efforts for our full power delivery platform focused on Data Center Campus style development. WattBridge developed, financed, built, owned and operated the world's largest LM6000 portfolio consisting of 2400 MW's from 2019 thru 2026. The platform raised over $2BN in capital and is now partnered with Energy Capital Partners as our majority sponsor. With competitive advantages in secured power equipment as an OEM, a proven track record in building out a 2400 MW portfolio, and a fully vertically integrated execution platform, we are well positioned to be highly successful in the data center industry.
The primary focus of this role is leading large scale natural gas generation development with co-located data center projects with microgrid solutions. As a key member of WattBridge's management team, you will report directly to the Chief Development Officer and work alongside senior leaders at the company to advance development of the existing project portfolio as well as new prospects.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead development activities of large-scale natural gas power block developments and co-located data center projects with microgrid solutions from feasibility to the start of construction
  • Collaborate effectively with the Development, Origination, EPC, Technical Solutions, Finance and Regulatory teams
  • Engage with staff and third-party consultants to coordinate environmental, permitting, transmission interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities
  • Lead and manage the Project Development team in line with WattBridge's growing development pipeline
  • Ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget
  • Select, manage, and direct third party consultants and review their work product
  • Supporting and leading bank, investor and off-taker due diligence in an effort to close on lender financing, equity capital, and offtake agreements
  • Building pro formas in cooperation with internal modeling expertise to screen and develop projects to financeable maturity
  • Build and coach a highly functional team of developers, engineers, and project managers to achieve development goals
  • Lender and investor interface on raising capital around the WattBridge platform
  • Developing market CIM / presentation material to support lender, off-taker and investor outreach
  • Represent PROENERGY/WattBridge in industry advocacy groups and conferences
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to provide information throughout the development process
  • Evaluate viability of early stage and acquisition projects
  • Obtain local project permits and tax agreements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's with a focus in engineering, environmental, business administration or economics preferred
  • At least ten (10) years of work experience at a leading IPP, utility, renewable or data center developer with significant experience in project development
  • Proven record of accomplishment in power or data center development, ending in financial close and commercial operation
  • Proven experience leading and managing multi-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve potential project flaws and prioritize critical path tasks
  • Thorough understanding of land easements/leases and title curative requirements
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial office environment
  • Working knowledge of technical development disciplines, including interconnection, gas transport/supply arrangements, resource assessment, power generation, operations, GIS, etc.
  • Track record of successfully working with public officials to obtain development permits, tax abatements, etc.
  • Demonstrated technical, economic and commercial evaluation in supporting decision making
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
