Project Manager - Electrical Manufacturing

Location:ย Marietta, OH
Job Type:ย Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking aย Project Managerย to oversee custom electrical equipment projects from initial requirements through engineering, manufacturing, testing, shipment, and closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced project professional who can coordinate multiple teams, manage customer expectations, and keep complex manufacturing projects on schedule.

Power distribution industry experience is strongly relevant to this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects throughย requirements capture, engineering, procurement, production, testing, shipment, and closeout.
  • Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate activities acrossย Sales, Application Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Logistics.
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules and monitor critical milestones.
  • Establish achievable delivery dates based onย material availability and production capacity.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain action-item tracking.
  • Manage customer change requests, engineering changes, and related schedule impacts.
  • Coordinateย Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), documentation packages, and shipment readiness.
  • Identify project risks early and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain project reporting, schedule information, andย on-time delivery metrics.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining priorities and execution discipline.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree inย Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related fieldย preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experienceย in manufacturing, electrical equipment, or electromechanical environments.
  • Experience managingย engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing projects.
  • Strong understanding ofย project scheduling, order management, and long-lead material coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpretย engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working cross-functionally withย engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams.
  • Proficiency withย ERP systemsย and project scheduling tools such asย MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer management skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with power distribution equipment such asย switchgear, PDCs, RPPs, STS, or UPS systems.
  • PMP certificationย or active pursuit of certification.
  • Familiarity withย UL, NEC, ANSI, or related electrical industry standards.
  • Experience coordinatingย FATs and customer witness testing.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigmaย experience.
