KTUA is in search of a creative and outโ€‘going marketing director who also has a passion for business development and working in a collaborative and designโ€‘driven environment. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

Anticipated Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead regular marketing and business development meetings with the principal group to develop winning strategies, as well as develop consistent proposal methodologies.
  • Lead and guide all business development and marketing related communications.
  • Oversee the development of deadlineโ€‘driven proposal submissions from start to finish, including scheduling and leading meetings, collaborating with the Marketing Manager, working with Principals, project managers, outside consultants and other staff to develop a competitive, custom, responsive, and winning proposal submission.
  • Proactively oversee the writing, quality control, and editing of proposal and interview content but also assist in the continuing improvement and development of proposal/interview content including cover letters, project descriptions, qualification packages, resumes, headshots, and images.
  • Support corporate social media platforms and maintain a social media content calendar.
  • Research, review and analyze Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) documents and assist in the determination of projects to pursue (go/no go).
  • Identify opportunities for the firm to expand in target and emerging markets and geographies.
  • Cultivate relationships with former, current, and prospective clients with a focus on target and emerging markets.
  • Maintain pursuit tracking activity in a database for new business opportunities through city council meetings, planet bid, etc. and add/update leads, followโ€‘ups as required.
  • Attend Preโ€‘proposal meetings.
  • Assist with developing standards and format for eโ€‘newsletters. Coordinate ongoing thought leadership/content development.
  • Assist with designing and developing corporate marketing collateral, including brochures, business cards and giveaway/promotional items.
  • Serve as a company representative on civic, business, charitable and professional organizations, boards and committees.
  • Partner with leadership to identify events and serve as company representative at industry social and networking events.
  • Partner with internal teams to plan, create presentations, and execute capture plans on pursuits.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of the company website.
Experience and Education:
  • 8-10 years of related professional experience (Experience within the AEC industry with RFQ/P process).
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Landscape Architecture, or Planning preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Capable of overseeing and prioritizing multiple proposals. Must be able to handle multiple deadlines at once.
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills, including graphic and written โ€œstoryโ€‘telling,โ€ to communicate marketing concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Filemaker and/or Deltek CRM a plus.
  • Experienced with social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
