Job description

Almac Group is currently seeking a Project Coordinator, Distribution for our Souderton, Pennsylvania location. The Project Coordinator, Distribution supports the Project Distribution Lead by gathering, interpreting, and clarifying customer supplied information and transforming it into operational documents required for successful delivery of clinical material distribution. The Project Coordinator will assist the lead with all task associate with distribution at any Almac Clinical Services Site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Gather and interpret project related customer supplied information, defining requirements, and generating associated documentation to support operational distribution staff in the shipment of finished goods, components, and ancillary materials. Generate clear written instructions for the distribution and return, if applicable of material, ensuring full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Provide timely information/documentation required for the management of the materials required for upcoming shipments. This includes receipt of customer supplied materials, Almac supplied materials, RI management, lot release activities and IRT set ups so that request for shipment are successfully dispatched.
  • Advise the Project Distribution Lead of any issues or delays arising throughout the course of the project, escalating to the Project Team or Project Group Manager as appropriate. Work with internal departments to resolve issues, including Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, Import Services, and Temperature Services.
  • Establish distribution protocols in COSMOS to ensure accurate and complete set up of all items, Autoship, Depots, Returns, JIT, and distribution related activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years’ relevant experience or Bachelor’s with 6+ months customer and/or community service experience or an Associate degree with 2+ years’ work experience
  • Customer Service knowledge / experience
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or business related field preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical or clinical supplies industry experience.
  • Project management experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of the contract packaging industry, or knowledge of logistics/supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of the packaging and distribution of clinical trial medication highly preferred
