Job description

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

Safety Coordinator position is available at Garney Construction. The Safety Coordinator supports the Safety Manager in administering project safety training, maintaining documentation, and assisting with jobsite inspections and compliance efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Support project and regional safety efforts
  • Assist with safety training and maintain jobsite safety binders and documentation
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections
  • Coordinate with field supervisors on equipment and PPE needs
  • Ensure proper project and safety signage is in place
  • Review safety results and company safety documents
  • Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • A degree in safety or a construction-related field is preferred
  • Construction experience or knowledge preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam
  • Willingness to work on a jobsite or in an office five days per week
