Job description

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a national higher education association, seeks a Process and Data Coordinator to join its Systems and Accreditation Services team. This role combines project coordination and data visualization work to support the effectiveness of HLC's accreditation activities and optimize the sharing of information with HLC stakeholders. Working collaboratively with leaders across the organization, the coordinator will organize and track initiatives, provide administrative support, conduct data analysis and reporting, and support the development and maintenance of data dashboards.

This position is ideal for a highly organized and collaborative professional who thrives on taking ownership of processes while identifying opportunities for improvement and wants to contribute to assuring the quality of higher education for millions of students nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and organizes information regarding changes to accreditation processes and coordinates the implementation of changes among stakeholders
  • Collaborates with the Accreditation and IT teams in creating data reports
  • Supports the development and maintenance of data dashboards
  • Provides administrative and operational support across multiple teams, assisting with a variety of tasks and projects as needed
  • Coordinates workflows, technology, data, information, and materials to ensure efficient, effective, and well-documented processes 
  • Maintains accurate and complete records through the timely entry, review, verification and updating of information within the CRM and other organizational systems
  • Coordinates stakeholder communications, ensuring accurate information, timely responses and effective follow-through
  • Provides backup support as required, including responding to calls, electronic filing, scheduling, and document reproduction and distribution 

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to three years' relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • Experience with coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills using a variety of communication channels 
  • Strong attention to details related to data and processes 
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and assist with prioritizing tasks 
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, team-first approach and a willingness to step in whenever needed to support projects, processes or organizational priorities
  • Experience with Agile methodology is a plus

Pay Scale and Benefits Information 
HLC offers medical insurance, including an option with no premium charge to employees. HLC also offers dental, vision coverage, life insurance options, long term disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.  

The annual payis expected to be $58,000-$60,000 although the actual salaryfor the position may vary based on experience, qualifications, and HLC budget considerations. 

Timeline and Hiring Process 
Initial review of applications will begin on August 10th. Please include a cover letter describing a complex project you coordinated. While subject to change, candidates elected to advance throughout the process can expect a virtual interview and an in-person interview to commence in late August. The expected start date is September 2026.
