Control Panels USA is seeking an Project Manager to join our growing team in Georgetown, TX.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing their assigned projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the financial success as well as meeting the expectations of the project and client. The Project Manager will interface with clients, coordinate with production, field technicians, and other contractors. This role will be located at our Georgetown, Tx office.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing their assigned projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the financial success as well as meeting the expectations of the project and client. Duties to include but not limited to:
• Reviewing the Proposal in detail, along with Cost Estimate, all Quotes, Contract Drawings,
Specifications, and Addendums, as well as any pertinent emails from Estimator
• Discuss Project with Estimator
• Select Equipment necessary to meet project requirements while maximizing project margin. This
includes looking for alternative equipment options, finding ‘or equal’ equipment at a lower cost,
etc.
• Ensure project requirements, expectations, and deadlines are met
• Ensure client expectations are met
• Maintain good relations with clients and vendors
• Perform all Design of panels and/or system

  • Create Electrical Schematics
  • Panel Layout Drawings
  • Communication Drawings
  • Loop Drawings
  • Or other drawings as applicable
• Provide Office Manager documentation for preparation of submittals for project, approve and
submit final submittals to clients. This may include, but not be limited to:
  • Schedules of Equipment
  • Drawings
  • I/O List
  • Test Reports
  • O&M Manuals

• Have all equipment ordered by working with Purchasing Department
• Ensure equipment is ordered at proper times for best delivery while minimizing company cash flow burden
• Work with Production Manager, Team Leads, and Assembly Technicians to ensure panels are built as required. This requires daily interaction with personnel while panels are in fabrication.
• Work with Field Technicians to ensure installation, commissioning and startup activities are
accomplished effectively, on time, and within budget.
• Go on site visits to attend meetings, review work performed, and/or to assist in startup/installation.
• Close out project documentation, review final billing to ensure all change orders and other costs
have been properly invoiced, review final job costing reports, and turn over all required
documentation to client.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; develop solutions; prepare reports; make recommendations to management
• Notify Financial Controller and Director of Project Management of any project change orders
• Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Electrical controls, instrumentation, and panel design required.
  • Ability to follow specifications, contract drawings, budgets, and schedules.
  • Must be familiar with reading and interpreting control schematics.
  • Must be able to work on project sites and adhere to safety policy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate options, analyze complex problems, and present possible solutions in a simple, easily understood manner
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, large workloads and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • Must have a least master's degree in engineering/industrial Management or Industrial Engineering.
  • Must have completed coursework in Product Design & Development, Project Management & Scheduling, Design of Industrial Experiment, and Organizational Behavior

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, sit and stand. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
