What does an Unattended Retail Driver do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Unattended Retail Driver delivers refreshment to our customers through vending machines and micro-markets. For the assigned route they will manage inventory, stock vending machines, handle money, as well as develop positive relationships with assigned customers.
Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload beverage products utilizing proper handling techniques to prevent damage or breakage. Stock vending machines, rotate inventory and ensure accurate pricing and look of success (LOS) at each delivery location.
  • Safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles to transport beverages to designated vending locations. Follow predetermined delivery routes and schedules, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries while adapting to various traffic and weather conditions. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure the well-being of yourself, other road uses, and the cargo.
  • Interact professionally with customers and establish positive relationships. Ensure all service concerns are appropriately addressed.
  • Utilize electronic devices or paper documentation to confirm deliveries, track inventory, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with planning and finance team to ensure accurate inventory and money counts and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers to provide updates on delivery progress, delays or issues.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, both internally and externally.
  • Complete all assigned training.
  • Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required
  • 1-2 years Sales or Customer Support or 1-2 years Delivery Driver required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Driving record must meet Swire's vehicle policy requirements.
  • Must be able to operate portable scanner & printer
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business; flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and delivery demands.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability to lift and move heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the day.
