Job description

Kenny Electric, established in 1974, is a leading Industrial and Commercial electrical contractor with a diverse portfolio of project work. We operate under a set of core values: integrity, trust, quality, family, and community. We are looking for driven and organized individuals who share the same pride and enthusiasm for the industry as we do.
Purpose: The Billing Coordinator is responsible for preparing all job billings; assists the VP of Operations by providing administrative support and coordinating procedures.
Essential Duties include the following:
  • Prepares all job billings and supporting documents including: pay applications, lien releases and Sub/Supplier documents.
  • Assists Project Managers with tracking job progress and ensure timely billings
  • Prepares all jobs for closeout
  • Assist Accounts Payable with any vendor invoicing questions
  • Manages any billing problems and completes any collection follow up calls as necessary
  • Generates new customer and new vendor setup forms and request W-9's and tax exempt or insurance certificates as necessary
  • Generates job numbers and work orders for new jobs; enters jobs into applicable systems
  • Enters budgets and SOV into applicable system as necessary
  • Enters any change orders into system
  • Creates and maintains job files
  • Tracks any open POs issued by customers; closes any unused POs
  • Runs reports for Project Managers and leadership as requested
  • Completes various filing and other administrative duties as necessary
  • Conducts scheduling, dispatching and field coordination as required
  • Administers other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience performing similar accounting related functions and previous Construction experience highly preferred
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Must possess good computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with accounting system software

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Performance of the job may require sitting, handling items and working with fingers to type, complete paperwork, and handle other administrative functions. Occasionally, may be asked to walk, stand, talk and hear others in conversation by phone or in person.
Work Environment:
Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.
