Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - IMSย 

Practice: PMOย 

Exempt Status: Exemptย 

Purposeย 

The Project Manager - IMS will be responsible for managing small to medium sized technology implementation projects with low to medium complexity. This position reports to the Practice Director or a Managing Principle within the Apps Associates PMO.ย 

Job Dutiesย 

  • Collaborate with client contacts managing cross-functional client project team members to facilitate project deliveryย 

  • Collaborate with Apps Associates project team members, who are both onshore and offshore, to successfully deliver projectsย 

  • Manage the execution of the project's activities and resources in partnership with the practice technical leads and business partnersย 

  • Lead project teams through scoping definition and ensure all execution efforts align to project goals.ย 

  • Lead project team through the production execution of upgrade and migrations which may take place over weekendsย 

  • Lead the establishment of measurable and achievable critical success factors for the projectย 

  • Control planning and execution to ensure that cost, time, and quality goals are metย 

  • Develop and maintain project plans and related project artifactsย 

  • Provide view of plans and progress to dateย 

  • Manage against the approved budget and recommend course correction as necessary.ย 

  • Ensure project financial metrics are up to date consistently including project baselines, change orders, estimate to complete and estimate at completeย 

  • Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure status clarity and clear expectationsย 

  • Adhere to the Apps Associates project management methodologyย 

  • Possesses the ability to turn troubled projects around when and if neededย 

  • Utilize Apps Associates internal application technology for project management functions including Project Management, Estimating, Resourcing, and others.ย 

  • Make continuous improvement a priority - The Project Manager should have a solid grasp of basic and many advanced project management principles, along with having experience in successfully applying and advancing those principles.ย 

Travel Requirementsย 

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% if neededย 

Work Requirementsย 

  • Remote work approved with on-site/customer facing work required periodically depending on project phase and/or customer requirementsย 

  • For remote work, associate must have a dedicated space to conduct/attend meetings and perform job dutiesย 

Required Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience. (focus in Business Administration or Information Systems preferred)ย 

  • 4+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Senior Consultant, Manager, or similar level roleย 

  • Leadership of a minimum of four (3) full life-cycle implementations in the Project Manager roleย 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsย 

  • Strong time management, organization, and collaboration skillsย ย 

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet (preferred)ย 

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of business productivity tools (for example: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams)ย 

  • Strong understanding of the cloud software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.ย 

Project Management/Technology Experience Requirements:ย 

The Project Manager must have project management and/or hands on experience with at least two (2) of the following technologies:ย 

  • Infrastructure Project Managementย 

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)ย 

  • Amazon AWSย 

  • Microsoft Azureย 

  • Oracle Database migration and/or upgradesย 

  • ERP upgrade/migration experienceย 

  • Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion, SCM, Financials)ย 

  • Oracle HCM or Oracle PeopleSoftย 

  • Oracle EBSย 

  • Other relevant experienceย 

  • Oracle Fusion Middlewareย 

  • Custom Software Development (within the Enterprise space)ย 

  • Integration technologies such Boomi, Mulesoft, Oracle Cloud Integration Service or equivalentย 

  • Salesforce implementation experienceย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • PMP Certification (PMP, PGMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP)ย
