Project Specialist


Position Summary

The Project Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of projects by preparing and managing Life Safety Plans through specialized software systems. This position requires extensive use of computer software and Life Safety prints on a daily basis to accurately prepare and maintain project documentation. The Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring that dampers and doors are precisely identified and pinned on drawings, providing field service technicians with complete and reliable information for project implementation. The Project Specialist will work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to maintain project accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work extensively with computer software and Life Safety prints on a daily basis to review, update, and maintain project documentation.
  • Utilize Bluebeam and Premier software to review, mark, and maintain Life Safety Plans.
  • Accurately pin and document dampers and doors on Life Safety Plans to ensure field service technicians are equipped with precise project details.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to verify project scope, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Ensure project documentation is properly organized, stored, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies within project documentation to minimize delays or errors in the field.
  • Support process improvements for project documentation, workflow, and information accuracy.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Premier software, or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and documenting technical information.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical plans.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Prior experience in project support, construction, engineering, or life safety systems preferred.
