Job Description:
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Managers with overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to strategic project planning to support cross-functional and companywide initiatives.
What You'll Do:
This individual will be instrumental in ensuring optimal project performance by driving insights from data, establishing KPIs, monitoring and evaluating the overall project(s). They will also leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to serve as a strategic partner to the business and the project team with a desire to learn and grow. Up to 10% travel may be required.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year College or University; a focus on, finance, business communications, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years' experience within a business, consulting, or analytical role preferred; a focus on engineering, finance, management, information systems and/or business-related field preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred, proficiency in Excel, and Visio a plus.
  • Experience in project management software, smart sheets is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts research and leverages data and other information to generate metrics and evaluate project readiness. Provides recommendations to support project completion.
  • Administers team logistics, including but not limited to: team meetings, conference calls, meeting minutes, action items, and basic follow up items.
  • Simultaneously supports the entire project management cycle of multiple projects, assisting the Project Managers with moderately complex projects. May lead smaller scale projects through completion.
  • Works closely with cross functional departments to learn the product or service with goal of being the subject matter expert across the organization.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates organization changes, partnering with Project Managers to identify potential downstream impacts to existing or projects in the pipeline.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to understand business requirements and provides recommendations based on those requirements and other initiatives across the organizations.
  • Facilitates inter-department communication to ensure timely dissemination of information and awareness of team's activities.
