Job description

We are seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to join our Intsel Steel East team at our New Castle, DE location. The ideal candidate will have experience with steel deck and joist projects, with a strong ability to interpret plans, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate pricing, high-quality outcomes, and timely delivery.


  • Collaborate with and mentor estimating team members and project managers on steel-related projects
  • Generate and verify bills of materials for structural steel, decking, and joist systems to support production requirements
  • Manage and coordinate estimating schedules to meet project deadlines
  • Handle multiple steel projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate and coordinate with subcontracted detailers on steel design and fabrication requirements to ensure project accuracy
  • Partner with sales leadership to provide pricing insights, market feedback, and performance trends within the steel industry
  • Support outside sales representatives in building and maintaining a strong pipeline of steel-related opportunities
  • Uphold and support the company’s Quality System standards, ensuring all steel products meet specifications and compliance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or three to five years of equivalent work experience with steel deck and bar joist projects.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient level of computer skills in typing, number key, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Steel project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of AUTO CAD & TEKLA
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
  • Proficient in project mangement software.
