Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Students must have been awarded Federal Work Study for the 2026 - 2027 school year and be available to work on campus. 
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Canva (or other graphic design software), and Excel, along with good customer service skills. 
  • Bilingual English and Spanish or English and Haitian/Creole

Responsibilities:

The CARD is looking to hiring (2) FWS students to work as an Office & Project Assistant in the Department of Child and Family studies, Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, assisting division staff with routine clerical duties, including filing, copying, and preparation of letters, spreadsheets or other documents. Assisting with special projects, including CARD programs and special events. Assistance with Spanish programs, drafting translation for materials, and communicating with visitors to CARD offices as needed. 

  • Welcoming and communicating with visitors to CARD offices, including Spanish speaking families
  • Filing, copying, typing and scanning documents and inputting data
  • Create spreadsheets
  • Assist with flyer and graphics creation using Canva or other software program
  • Assist with initiatives and special events for CARD
  • Bilingual language skills in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole are strongly preferred. Applicants fluent in either language are encouraged to apply.

Average Number of Hours per Week: Can work up to 20 hours per week.

Schedule: Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Will work around class schedule but work cannot be scheduled in conflict with classes. Must provide a copy of your class schedule.
