POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Engineer 2 assists and supports the Project Manager on assigned projects. Theposition works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, andgathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer 2 must be a flexibleand adaptable team player and have strong communication and client serviceskills. 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup initial contracts and project information
  • Coordinate various trades
  • Resolving design coordination issues
  • Receive, review, forward, and track the status of submittals
  • Oversee & manage the RFI process
  • Assist in the management of the project permit process
  • Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement
  • Identify long lead items and establish procurement priorities
  • Update construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress, and materials delivery
  • Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders
  • Track and inspect material deliveries
  • Assists with reports regarding the financial performance of the project
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required
  • Attend and/or lead project meetings, as directed by the Project Manager
  • Oversee timely distribution and accurate recording of all meeting minutes
  • Assist and/or complete project close-out
  • Communicate and enforce Manhattan's environmental, health, and safety management policies
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring others
  • Assist in the review of Subcontractor monthly payment applications
  • Assist in coordinating punch list items and procedures
  • Perform quality control inspections & oversee QPL process log
  • Oversee project-specific integration of quality, closeout, photo documentation, & procurement technology software
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
  • Other duties as assigned
