What You'll Do
In this role, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial mechanical and HVAC projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents; performing detailed labor and material takeoffs; developing proposals; coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing; and ensuring all estimates are complete and aligned with project scope. Once projects are awarded, you will also support project coordination through submittals, RFIs, procurement assistance, job cost tracking, and documentation management. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional field visits for pre-bid meetings, site verification, and project support.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with at least 5 years of commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating experience, with strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, construction practices, and estimating processes. Candidates should be comfortable reading construction plans and specifications, performing digital takeoffs, managing documentation, and working with estimating software such as FastEST, QuoteSoft, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Strong communication, organization, and vendor coordination skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout, subcontractor buyout, scheduling, and job cost tracking will stand out. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong practical experience.
