*This position requires a regular on-site presence at our campus in Wichita, KS.
Database Administrative Assistant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to Next Step Administrator
Grade II ($15.10-$23.40 Based on experience and qualification)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative support with weekly office tasks, including tasks for Database & Reception. The incumbent will also assist with various ministry projects for NewSpring
Church.
The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Maintains database integrity over multiple platforms. (app. 45%)
• Organizes, coordinates, and assists with processing data. (app. 25%)
• Assists with the prayer ministry. (app. 10%)
• Assists supervisor with administrative tasks. (app. 10%)
• Assists with reception duties. (app. 10%)
These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.
Requirements
EDUCATION/TRAINING• A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
• Some college or specialized database training preferred.EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of one year of experience in an office environment.
• A minimum of one year in the field of data entry.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Proficient computer skills-comfortable accessing information and using programs on multiple operating systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledgeable of data entry processes and best practices.
• Attention to detail.
• Coordination, organizational and time management skills.
• Positive temperament, dependability, and professionalism.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to deal courteously with the public.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledgeable of Planning Center Online system (preferred).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
• Sitting or standing often for long periods of time.

• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds.
• View and operate technological devices, including but not limited to computers, phones, and printers.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position works primarily indoors. Occasional outdoor work may be required.
