POSITION SUMMARY
 
McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant in our Overland Park, Kansas office. The position is responsible for greeting guests and directing visitor traffic in a friendly and positive manner. In addition, this individual is responsible for various administrative tasks and office support. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome, greet, and provide directions for visitors, guests, and partners
  • Maintain the appearance of the front desk and lobby
  • Answer/direct incoming calls
  • Maintain office supplies, ordering and scheduling maintenance as necessary
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages (physically and digitally)
  • Create and maintain filing and mail distribution system
  • Maintain packing/mailing supplies and assist office staff in sending outgoing mail through various vendors (USPS, UPS, etc.)
  • Process the administration purchasing card logs and expense allocations
  • Coordinate engagement events and culture building activities
  • Provide onboarding support for new partners (greet and connect with manager, process i9’s, provide building related information, etc.)
  • Assist with beverage and snack stocking as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 4+ years clerical/administrative experience.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be able to demonstrate proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel) typing 50+WPM.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment, able to multitask, meet critical deadlines with eye for accuracy and attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization.
