Job Summary:
Google is a company that builds products to create opportunities for everyone, and they are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex projects in Cyber Risk Programs. The role involves planning requirements, identifying risks, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure effective risk management and security practices.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of Cyber Risk Assessment strategy for Global Affairs (GA).
• Design and own risk remediation programs.
• Influence and assist business owners to close gaps in their cyber risk assessments controls and drive process adoption for sustainable security posture.
• Collaborate with and influence central Google security, risk and audit teams to ensure GA’s operational and security requirements are met and Cyber Risk Management practices are up to company-wide standards.
• Pivot between setting program execution, technical control implementations and risk operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience managing engineering-based risk operations.
• Experience managing cybersecurity programs as a technical program manager.
Preferred:
• 10 years of experience in cyber, risk management, or system implementation at a major technology/consulting company.
• 10 years of project management experience developing, managing and implementing cyber risk management strategies in a consulting or in-house setting
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience applying AI/ML tools and methodologies to enhance program management practices (e.g., automating reporting, risk analysis, process optimization).
• Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence others without direct authority.
