Position Purpose
Support students with emotional disabilities in inclusion programming. Support with academics - providing accommodations and lesson support. Implement behavior plans, manage behaviors, assist with social skills and inclusion throughout the social environment. Assist with arrival and dismissal. Physically demanding position. Must obtain CPI training (during work hours) and be able to physically manage/restrain if needed. Flexibility within he program to work with a variety of students.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred
  2. Experience working with children/students
  3. Experience assisting in program implementation
  4. Ability to work with professional staff
  5. Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications

General Responsibilities
  1. Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings
  2. Needs to assist with behavior plan implementation
  3. Provide academic support as needed
  4. May need to support toileting and feeding need
  5. Monitoring for attention, work completion and social navigation
  6. Perform duties as assigned by school administration
  7. Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
