Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest.
About Community Life:
Community Life (CL) is TCB's place-based model that uses healthy and stable housing as a platform for connecting our residents to services, community resources, and opportunities so they can thrive. By creating programs and building strategic partnerships with residents and local stakeholders CL helps create pathways to opportunities in early education, economic mobility, youth development, community engagement, voting registration, healthy living, and resident leadership.
Position Description:
Reporting to the Community Life Senior Manager, the CL Financial Programs Coordinator (CLFPC) oversees the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program at New Franklin Park Apartments in Dorchester, providing financial coaching to FSS program participants and other residents interested in financial literacy and economic mobility support services both in-person and through virtual platforms. The CLFPC is responsible for outreach and recruit into the FSS Program to reach program enrollment and participation goals and focuses on helping participants reach financial benchmarks in five core areas: income and employment, credit and debt, savings, utilization of quality financial services, and asset development, focusing on helping participants optimize escrow funds toward financial security and asset development goals. In addition, the CLFPC will coordinate monthly/bi-monthly financial education workshops, including topics such as budgeting, employment, credit building, and homeownership.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the FSS Program at New Franklin Park including recruitment, coaching, training, reporting, and all administration of the program.
Ensure compliance with FSS program action plan and manual including staying abreast of any HUD FSS changes and requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to residents, TCB staff, and community partners.
Engage FSS participants to better understand their strengths, needs, and aspirations and connect them with local resources and opportunities.
Use of TCB's data collection system to document services provided to residents and outcomes achieved.
Align initiatives with the outcomes, mission, and goals of TCB Community Life
Participate in ongoing professional and property management development.
Attend training and continue education opportunities offered by Community Life & TCB
Attend weekly meetings with Community Life Senior Manager and CL site team.
Other duties and responsibilities as requested.

What Were Looking For:
Bilingual verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish required.
Minimum 1 year experience as an FSS program coordinator or FSS coach or financial coach required.
Knowledge of the Dorchester neighborhood a plus, specifically Codman Square
Bachelors preferred with a focus in social work, human services, public health, community development, or related field.
Experience working with families to support their aspirations.
Ability to collect, track and understand data to assess programs and partnerships and inform strategies.
Operate in a timely manner, with consistency, and a high level of integrity and professionalism; provide excellent customer service to residents and partners.
Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills.
Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings is required.
Experience with daily data documentation
Ability to create, recruit for, and teach financial education workshops.
Experience implementing programs and initiatives.
