Job Summary:
Jumpmind is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join their SymmetricDS product team. This role acts as a technical expert and trusted advisor to prospective clients, ensuring successful pre-sales engagements and long-term customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with sales representatives to understand client requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical presentations.
• Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that align with our offerings.
• Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture documentation, and technical proposals.
• Maintain deep understanding of SymmetricDS product and industry trends to serve as a subject matter expert.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring junior sales engineers as needed.
• Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (product, engineering, support).
• Support post-sales handoff to implementation teams and ensure customer success alignment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–8+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales role.
• Strong technical background in databases, data warehouse, data replication and integration.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and support enterprise customers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
• Experience with the Java programming language.
• Ability to setup and maintain docker images.
• Experience with Canva to build and organize technical documents for the pre-sales process
