LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS

The Programmer Analyst works directly with local and remote end users to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of software issues in a fast-paced environment, working on site in Little Rock. The role is part of a team responsible for various technologies used by the company including newspaper advertising, circulation, call management, and process automated systems. We are looking for individuals with strong technical skills and committed to providing excellent customer service through prompt problem resolution, communication, and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration and end user support of newspaper advertising, circulation, and call management systems.

  • Creates and maintains workflows in a process automated system involving multiple platforms.

  • Responds to inbound calls, emails, and support tickets from users regarding issues on multiple systems.

  • Provides daily support to local users and outlying sites.

  • Track reported issues and document status until completion.

  • Good attendance is required.

  • Assisting with multiple special projects and ad-hoc requests.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, newspaper advertising and circulation system software.

  • Knowledge of Progress database a plus.

  • Knowledge of RedHat 9 a plus.

  • Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle background a plus.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, call management system software, including working with IVR Management.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, process automated system software.

  • Knowledge of MS Office products and/or Google applications.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Microsoft Windows desktop.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and manuals, working to completion.

  • Ability to take notes and use those notes for future tasks.

  • Ability to problem solve and quickly troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Ability to work both individually and in group situations on tasks.

  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and work to completion.

  • Ability to get along well with others in a stressful environment.

  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to travel to satellite offices as required.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

  • College degree in the field of Information Technology and two years of experience working in an IT role preferred.
