Job description

TITLE:  Early Childhood Aide (PART TIME)
CONTRACT TERMS:  10 months
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified Salary Scale - Group B
  •  $15.30
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide programmatic support at the Early Childhood Center; is supervised by ECC staff at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
  • Assists with the preparation of instructional materials and physical environment;
  • Assists with the planning and preparation for group and individual activities;
  • Supervises students as assigned;
  • Provides enrichment and remedial assistance as directed; and
  • May perform some light cleaning and other related tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred;
  • No prior experience required;
  • Ability to communicate and work well with staff.
 
 PERFORMANCE EXPECATIONS  
TIME MANAGEMENT:  Routine work with little planning needed;
STRESS MANAGEMENT:  Minimal stress required;
PUBLIC CONTACT:  Interacts primarily with youth;
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:  Performs job duties as directed;
