Welcome to Sunset Montessori School-SMS, a 46-year-old school that is a subsidiary to the 88 year old nonprofit organization, The Hearing and Speech Center of Florida. SMS follows Montessori Methodology and we seek dedicated staff members to grow and make our programs flourish. Job Description
We are seeking a Director of School with DCF credentials to be the leader of the School Division who has experience in management.
Our director must have a passion for children and a full understanding and experience in directing and programmatic/educational process in early childhood settings.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing all the academic programmatic aspects, staffing, training and provisions of educational activities, programming and full operations of the school. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in education as as well as, Management.
Most importantly the Director of the School will help the CEO Manage all the operational needs and ensuring the school is at Capacity---school growth and marketing.
Director will work alongside CEO for development of programs, vision, and expansion of services. Director will also facilitate enrollment and provisions of grant opportunities.
This position is a full time annual position;
S/he will help ensure quality and child directed education and mentor as well as monitor monthly lesson plans, review of outcomes for children, and manage daily accountability for all teacher duties.
We will facilitate certifications and trainings based on the needs of the applicant.
BILINGUAL (English-Spanish language) a plus; however, Native English proficiency is required.
Qualifications
-Leadership role must have at least 5 years' experience.
-Dept. of Education teaching certificate and Director credential.
-Montessori certification a plus, but not necessary
-Complete understanding and ability to implement all regulatory processes.
-Participate in parent and staff meetings pertaining to programs you serve.
-Participation in annual programmatic planning for summer programs.
