JOB TITLE: Analyst, Programmatic Media

REPORTS TO: Director, Media Investment
MAJOR PURPOSE
The Analyst, Programmatic Buying & Trading is responsible for the execution, optimization, and performance monitoring of programmatic media campaigns across DSPs. This role focuses on hands-on trading, campaign setup, and in-platform optimization, while supporting senior team members with insights and performance analysis.
This is a detail-oriented, execution-focused role ideal for someone early in their programmatic career looking to deepen platform expertise and analytical skills.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Execution & Trading
  • Execute programmatic campaigns across DSPs (e.g.,Viant, DV360, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt)
  • Build and traffic campaigns including audience targeting, creative setup, and budget allocation
  • Help build proposals and plans based on client goals and needs
  • Monitor pacing, delivery, and performance daily to ensure campaigns meet KPIs
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues, discrepancies, and platform errors in real time
Optimization & Performance Management
  • Analyze campaign performance and make in-platform optimizations (bids, budgets, targeting, frequency, creative rotation)
  • Support A/B testing and audience segmentation strategies
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve performance and efficiency
  • Ensure campaigns are delivering against KPIs such as CPA, ROAS, CTR, and completion rates
Data & Reporting
  • Pull and validate campaign data across platforms and reporting tools
  • Assist in building performance reports and dashboards
  • Ensure accuracy of tagging, tracking, and attribution setup
  • Partner with Analytics teams to align on measurement and insights
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain clean and organized campaign structure within DSPs
  • Ensure adherence to naming conventions, documentation standards, and QA processes
  • Support billing, reconciliation, and campaign documentation as needed
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and process efficiencies
Collaboration
  • Work closely with Managers and Senior team members to plan and execute media plans
  • Partner with Analytics, Strategy, and Client Services teams to support campaign goals
  • Communicate campaign updates, risks, and performance insights internally

Requirements
CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE
  • 1-3 years of experience in programmatic buying, digital media, or ad operations
  • Hands-on experience with at least one DSP, preferably Viant (DV360, The Trade Desk, Viant, StackAdapt, etc.)
  • Familiarity with programmatic concepts: RTB, PMP, PG, audience targeting, and bidding strategies
  • Experience with ad trafficking, tagging (VAST), and campaign setup
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in programmatic, digital media, or ad tech
