POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Tester to join our Marmon Utility team. The Tester will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical wire and cable products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external industry specifications. This role is essential to maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review documentation / work orders, production instructions and engineering specifications
  • Set up for tests including but not limited to:
  • Move product / reels within work areas including lower and upper mill
  • Load / manage payoff and take up machines
  • Strip cables and attach appropriate test equipment
  • Perform appropriate tests, operate equipment and interpret results
  • Rewind, cap, and prep reels for shipping
  • Monitor / verify process
  • Operate fork truck and other product moving equipment, change propane cylinders
  • Identify and report non-conformities or defects to appropriate personnel
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comply with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a manufacturing or testing environment, preferably in the wire and cable industry
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and inspection techniques, is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, is preferred
