Job description

Assists with the coordination of administrative and/or operational functions of an organizational unit under the supervision of a manager or director. May assist in supervising and/or providing guidance to employees or be responsible for the management of programs, initiatives or events.

The University serves a population of nearly 20,000 students and 2,500 employees, including more than 1,000 full-time faculty members. The University offers bachelor's degrees in more than 230 areas of study, master's degrees in more than 50 subjects and doctoral degrees in 26 disciplines; supported an institutional record of more than $100 million in research awards for FY24; and has an operating budget of close to $500 million.

Associate degree and a minimum of one year of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

  • Assist school administration by providing student support as needed during and after the school day such as advisement, behavioral interventions, tutoring, mentoring, and mediation including but not limited to assistance with in-school suspension and office referral supports. (45%)
  • Provide staff support in various areas throughout the day including serving as a teaching assistant, lunch assistant, study hall assistant, field trip support, and as a classroom monitor. (35%)
  • Support summer programming for the student services department and general education department as scheduled by student services staff and/or administration. (15%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned, (5%)
