Job description

Primary Position Objective

Support Borrowers by addressing inquiries related to their loan and assist Clients by executing defined procedures in accordance with program guidelines and funding source terms.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming inquiries related to lending programs within established timeframes.
  • Review loan documentationโ€”including mortgages, promissory notes, deeds, releases, satisfactions, matters of public record related to title and other financial documentationโ€”to ensure accuracy and compliance with client underwriting guidelines.
  • Apply client and program specific guidelines throughout all stages of program processing.
  • Communicate effectively with staff regarding your review of submissions, your interpretation of applicable documented procedures, program related guidance, and your conclusions related to that review.
  • Prepare and submit complete and accurate recommendations to clients.
  • Accurately enter and maintain data across all required systems.
  • Adhere to timelines based on client needs and departmental workflow.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to all clients and borrowers.
  • Participate in meetings with staff, clients, and vendors as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2+ yrs experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with mortgage documentation.
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel are required and the ability to learn new loan servicing systems or other software as implemented.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong comfort level with technology, including ability to adapt to new systems quickly and easily.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking - Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Repetitive Motion - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Vision - Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
  • Physical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
