Job description

Overview The MIDS Program Management team at Collins Aerospace seeks a Program Support Specialist to join our Cedar Rapids, Iowa location. The role supports the execution of complex development and production programs across the organization, driving program success through pursuit, order capture, contract execution, financial reporting, customer coordination, and performance tracking. Key Responsibilities Support the execution of complex development and production programs and proposals under senior program leadership. Coordinate across cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Contracts, Quality, Sales, Finance) to achieve program objectives. Assist with risk and opportunity management, action item tracking, financial and data reporting, and program reviews. Contribute to bid and proposal efforts through coordination, reporting, and execution support. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure effective communication and timely decision-making. Analyze program data, identify issues or risks, and help resolve complex challenges affecting performance and schedule. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintain attention to detail, and meet established deadlines with minimal oversight. Apply industry practices, program management principles, and sound judgment to support day-to-day operations and strategic objectives. Act as a key contributor within the Integrated Program Team (IPT), supporting collaboration and alignment across onsite, hybrid, and remote environments. Qualifications Must Have University degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field. Demonstrated leadership experience, formal or informal, with the ability to guide teams through ambiguity, shifting priorities, and schedule-driven environments. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight. Strong organizational, communication, and problemโ€solving skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and teams. Preferred Experience interfacing directly with external customers and supporting customer-related program activities. Prior experience supporting obsolescence tracking, coordination, or lifecycle management activities.
