Position Summary:
The Retail Finance Assistant supports the Financial Marketing Manager in the administration, processing, and coordination of retail finance and financial merchandising transactions for Fabick Cat's Territory Managers and customers. Based in Milwaukee, the role provides day-to-day operational and administrative support company wide to ensure finance documentation, applications, and funding are handled accurately and on time. The position reports to the Financial Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Transaction Processing & Documentation: Prepare, review, and process retail finance documentation for accuracy; assemble quotation and funding packages; track documents sent to and returned from the field; and verify funding amounts and program codes before submission.
* Lender & Program Support: Assist the Financial Marketing Manager in working with lending institutions -- submitting applications and tracking approvals, rates, and terms. Maintain current rate sheets, program codes, and factory support program details.
* Customer & Field Support: Respond to Territory Manager and customer inquiries on the status of quotes, applications, and funding; collect and organize customer credit information; and assist with preparing initial quotations under the direction of the Financial Marketing Manager.
* Data, Reporting & Records: Maintain finance transaction records, logs, and system/CRM entries; prepare reports on pipeline, funded transactions, and PIN/volume tracking; and keep records complete and audit-ready.
* Administrative Support: Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Financial Marketing Manager and finance function, including communications, scheduling, and follow-up on outstanding items.
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 1-3 years of experience in finance, lending, banking, or administrative support (financial merchandising a plus).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing documentation and figures.
* Excellent communication and computer skills, including Excel and CRM/database systems.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle confidential customer and financial information.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Primary work is performed in an office or service facility environment with frequent communication by phone and computer.
* Tasks involve sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and reaching with arms.
* Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling may be required, especially when verifying equipment status in the yard or assisting with parts logistics.
* Employees are regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with technicians and customers; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
* Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving parts or equipment files) and safely handle heavier loads up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
* Work may occasionally involve exposure to a warehouse or outdoor environment with moderate noise and varying weather conditions; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used as required.
