Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Remote Medical Support Assistantsย (Medical Receptionist) to support the South Texas Veterans Health Care System located at 7400 Merton Minter Street, San Antonio, TX 78229. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to work onsite if required. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm (8hr shifts within the window). Responsibilities
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments and consults
  • Coordinate community care services with external providers
  • Track consults and ensure proper follow-up and completion
  • Manage appointment workflows and scheduling metrics
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients and providers
  • Respond to patient inquiries and service-related questions
  • Communicate with clinical staff on care coordination processes
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times
  • Enter, update, and validate patient demographic and medical information
  • Process consults using systems like:
    • HSRM, CPRS, VistA, PPMS
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in EHR systems
  • Process incoming records and ensure they are properly uploaded
  • Monitor reports, referrals, and workflow queues
  • Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) for communication and tracking
  • Participate in team huddles and coordination activities
  • Work with care coordination teams, schedulers, and providers
  • Escalate system issues and process inefficiencies
  • Support lead schedulers and ensure consistent workflow execution
Qualifications
  • Citizen of the United States of America.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Ability to speak clearly, hear and write English.
  • Utilize computer programs appropriately, usually involving spreadsheets, word processing, etc.; log in; type 50 wpm with minimum errors.
  • No health restrictions affecting job performance.
  • Basic medical terminology
  • Minimum 1 year of scheduling experience.
    • Medical scheduling or healthcare admin (strongly aligned)
    • Call center or high-volume customer service environments
  • No sponsorship availableย 

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
