The VP Program Operations - Embedded Finance leads the operational governance, execution, and oversight of embedded finance programs and partner relationships on behalf of the Fintech Solutions organization. This role manages a team of program and relationship management professionals and ensures programs operate in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and contractual obligations while delivering a high-quality partner experience. This role serves as a central coordinator and escalation point across Operations, Risk, Compliance, Product, and external partners. It drives operational efficiency, issue resolution, and continuous improvement while supporting the development and execution of embedded finance strategy. The position requires frequent interaction with senior internal stakeholders and external partner executives.

  1. Program Governance and Oversight
    • Ensures embedded finance programs operate in compliance with AML/BSA, KYC/CIP, fraud, consumer protection, and payments regulations.
    • Establishes and maintains effective oversight practices, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
    • Maintains documentation, procedures, and governance materials supporting regulatory expectations.
    • Reviews and approves process enhancements that strengthen risk posture and operational effectiveness.
  2. Partner Management and Engagement
    • Leads partner interactions including business reviews, SLA monitoring, and issue resolution.
    • Serves as primary escalation point for partners and internal stakeholders.
    • Balances partner needs with The Bancorp's risk and compliance requirements.
    • Supports partner growth initiatives while maintaining strong governance.
  3. Operational Execution and Performance
    • Ensures efficient day-to-day program operations and issue resolution.
    • Conducts root-cause analysis and implement remediation for high-impact issues.
    • Monitors and reports on operational metrics including processing issues, fraud events, and resolution timelines.
    • Drives continuous improvement through process optimization and scalability initiatives.
  4. Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partners with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to align on program execution.
    • Supports development and execution of embedded finance strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborates on new product enhancements and operational readiness.
    • Assists in sales process by providing operational and risk input.
  5. Team Leadership and Development
    • Leads and manages program operations and relationship management teams.
    • Sets performance standards and manage team outcomes in alignment with organizational goals.
    • Oversees hiring, training, and development of team members.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of management experience in banking or fintech with focus on account or relationship management.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. banking, payments, identity verification, financial crimes, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience managing enterprise clients and third-party service providers supporting card, payments, or deposit products.
  • Strong understanding of consumer banking regulations and card network rules including UDAAP, Reg Z, Reg E, FDIC guidelines, and Visa/Mastercard requirements.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, technical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications such as PMP.
  • Experience supporting embedded finance or Banking-as-a-Service programs.
