What You Will Do:
Join a high-performing project management team supporting U.S. Air Force acquisition and sustainment programs. This position is for a Program Manager for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Duties include applying knowledge and experience in acquisition policies and procedures to acquire and sustain Air Force weapon systems and subsystems throughout their life cycles.
Program Management responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist USG Program Managers with acquisition planning, documentation, and milestone decision support.
  • Provide expert-level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes.
  • Investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, or evaluate solutions for project / program efforts.
  • Mentor USG and contractor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Provide strategic planning support to align program initiatives with government priorities and long-term mission goals.
  • Identify compliance concerns and provide solutions for all program activities adhering to federal laws, procurement regulations (e.g., FAR), and Air Force policies.
  • Manage risk by identifying, prioritizing, mitigating, and taking corrective measures that could impact program schedule. cost, or performance.
  • Evaluate performance by establishing metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program progress and success and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate may also be required to perform a wide range of acquisition program office activities, such as: gathering acquisition program information; conducting planning and analyses for all acquisition phases; assisting in acquisition strategy planning; tracking, and scheduling; implementing contractor performance status systems; assisting in establishing and maintaining databases; assisting in developing and analyzing key program metrics; assisting in developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies; supporting program briefings; and effectively communicating recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management.
What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their SECRET clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE SECRET clearance are preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautics, Applied Math, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field
  • EIGHT (8) or more years of professional experience in the program/project management functional area, including FIVE (5) or more years of experience supporting DoD programs/projects

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Advanced degree (Highly Desirable) in Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautics, Applied Math, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Project/Program management certification; DAWIA or PMP preferred
  • DoD acquisition experience; familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and documentation
  • DoD Development or Operations Experience: Prior military operational flight experience
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within all organizational levels, including senior DoD leadership

The annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00-$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
