Apogee has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager SME in support of the M-Code Aviation Receivers Joint Program Office (MAR JPO) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. These positions support critical GPS User Equipment modernization programs with a focus on systems engineering, test and evaluation, and platform integration activities. The MAR JPO manages a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms.

These are full-time positions located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB).

Responsibilities
    Serve as senior program manager for GPS User Equipment acquisition and modernization programs at Wright-Patterson AFB
  • Manage multiple concurrent pre-award, modernization, production, and sustainment projects
  • Develop and execute acquisition strategies for MAGR-2K, EGI, R-EGI, SDUE, and antenna modernization
  • Coordinate systems engineering activities, including requirements development, design reviews, and configuration audits
  • Lead platform integration efforts with aircraft programs at Wright-Patterson
  • Support test and evaluation planning and execution
  • Prepare acquisition milestone documents and program decision packages
  • Develop technical contract requirements documents (PWS, CDRL, QASP, SRD)
  • Manage resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Conduct market research and source selection support
  • Lead program risk management and mitigation activities
  • Coordinate with AFRL and other research organizations on technology development
  • Support open architecture and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) implementation
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and design reviews
  • Provide senior leadership advocacy briefings
  • Lead trade studies for technology insertion and capability upgrades
  • Support Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Production Readiness Reviews
  • Coordinate with test organizations on developmental and operational testing
  • Manage contractor performance and technical evaluations
Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance

Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or APDP Program Management Level 3 certification
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related technical field
Years of Experience: 15 years of DoD acquisition experience with at least 5 years as a Program Manager

Additional experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems, navigation warfare, and PNT capabilities
  • Experience managing ACAT I or II programs strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Defense Acquisition System and DoDI 5000.02
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills for executive-level briefings

Minimum Experience:

Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Engineering or related technical field

Years of Experience: 12 years of DoD acquisition experience with at least 5 years as a Program Manager
