Role Overview
The Program Manager manages the technology needs of one or more designated business units. This role serves as the primary interface for business units to align their business objectives with technology solutions. The portfolio of business needs to be managed includes project requests, issue resolution, defect and work order escalation, and oversight of the project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program management oversight of projects, including status and budget monitoring, reporting, escalation, and issue resolution assistance.
  • Communicate technology project efforts and required involvement across business units.
  • Maintain ongoing interaction with the solution delivery team for projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Initiate projects, develop project charters, and support requirements gathering once projects are approved.
  • Manage supporting Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Analyst staff and provide oversight of their activities.
  • Support the definition of departmental processes or participate in broader process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist other team members to balance workload and provide coverage.
  • Support special initiatives and strategic opportunities for the firm as assigned.
  • Project - supporting middleware modernization
  • Managing scrum of scrums, will need to bring leadership together daily, weekly reporting
  • Advanced Jira - project tracking, querying, etc.
  • Scrum certifications preferred, must have strong Agile background
  • Financial services or highly regulated environments are beneficial
  • Release Train Engineer experience is a plus
