HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide.
HX5 is currently seeking an Acquisition Program Manager Senior to join the team at Eglin, AFB in Niceville, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide acquisition program management support across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)
  • Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation such as:
    • Acquisition Strategy (AS)
    • Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
    • Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
    • Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
    • Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Monitor and evaluate program cost, schedule, and performance using metrics and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; maintain and manage risk registers.
  • Lead or support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), milestone reviews, and technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR).
  • Support source selection activities, including proposal evaluation and contract modifications.
  • Coordinate across engineering, logistics, test, and financial stakeholders to ensure integrated program execution.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, status reports, and decision support materials to senior leadership.
  • Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and international armaments cooperation efforts, as applicable.

Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD;
  • Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
