Manages the roadmap, execution, change management and launch of a highly integrated, cross-functional cloud platform.
Join Zebra Technologies as the Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, and lead a transformative initiative at the forefront of our digital evolution. In this highly visible leadership role, you will spearhead the strategy and execution of a cutting-edge, continuous-delivery cloud software platform designed to consolidate our entire device management ecosystem across all business units. Your primary mission will be to champion a seamless, unified customer experience by integrating our fragmented legacy systems into a single, powerful centralized cloud-based tool. By eliminating the friction of multiple logins and disparate interfaces, you will directly enhance how our customers interact with Zebra's technology, and help create brand preference.
We are seeking a visionary program leader passionate about driving complex, cross-functional alignment and delivering a frictionless, unified solution at an enterprise scale.
This role requires a minimum of 3-days per week in our Holtsville, NY (Long Island) office, 2 days remote (US).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the rollout and continuous evolution of a platform product, owning strategy, architecture and execution across the platform portfolio.
  • Drive cross-organizational teams that support Go-To-Market (GTM) activities in support of continuous delivery and high up-time performance
  • Functional Leadership of a key cross-functional strategic initiative to create a unified device management ecosystem, leveraging the Product and Engineering leaders as your core 3-in-the-box leadership team. Deliver ongoing monthly releases using Zebra's Lifecycle Management process, and providing a high-quality customer-facing solution that drives value and upsells on the basis of reduced fragmentation.
  • Manage and lead the core platform team, including accountability for performance, culture and delivery outcomes
  • Own and evolve an internal contribution model that enables multiple cross-functional teams to contribute to the platform, including governance standards and collaboration frameworks
  • Drive continuous delivery using lean methodologies, optimizing release cycles and measuring outcomes in production
  • Collaborate with and influence leaders across multiple business units to gain buy-in and drive the adoption of common standards and platforms.
  • Develop and manage an opinionated strategic roadmap focused on reducing customer fragmentation, consolidating platforms, and driving customer value.
  • Use and make improvement recommendations to established tools, approaches/methodologies, and templates to guide and document the plan and communicate it to the team.
  • Operate cross-functionally to identify and execute the implementation of value-driven requirements through execution and delivery
  • Responsible for all aspects of program planning and execution fully autonomously. Assumes self and indirect project team's accountability for program success against the objectives.
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring program completion, i.e., product on schedule and within budget constraints. Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation, and documentation of progress
  • Balances scope, schedule, and budget considerations to ensure program and business objectives are achieved.
  • Assumes self and team accountability for program success. Executes and enables strategic cross-functional improvements.
  • Prepare and influentially present status updates and other deliverables to senior-level audiences
  • Independently engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles/delays. Proactively provides recommendations for issue resolution. Adjusts the plan as delays/obstacles are experienced
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of all PM techniques. Utilizes PM tools & techniques in scheduling & staffing plans with an understanding of task duration and dependencies. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of development processes and product launch scope and activities
  • Develops comprehensive risk management plans.
  • Demonstrates ability to navigate complex problems and overcome ambiguity with limited manager oversight
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
  • Familiar with and has used AI tools in an enterprise setting, and demonstrates integrating workflows with AI tools to create efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree, orrelated technical BS degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ year's in Engineering/Program management for products in fast paced environment, including 2 years as team supervisor/ manager required
  • Minimum 12+ years' experience in product development required
  • Experience with leading or managing Cloud-based software required
  • Minimum 3+ experience in a people leader role required

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven experience managing complex, large-scale software programs in a multi-product or multi-business unit environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, build consensus among senior leaders, and influence technical and business teams without direct authority.
  • Highly effective in presenting and communicating (verbal and written), and facilitating to peers, direct reports, and executive audiences
  • Comfortable and experienced in delegating and requesting follow-up
  • A strong understanding of the following modern software concepts is required:
    • API Strategy:Deep knowledge of API-first design principles, API lifecycle management, and strategies to build and scale robust developer tools and platforms.
    • Cloud Operations:Understanding of shared cloud platforms, DevOps principles, and strategies for creating operational efficiencies at scale.
    • Software Licensing Models:Experience with software monetization and licensing strategies (e.g., subscription, consumption-based, perpetual).
  • Ability to connect technical program goals to business outcomes, such as improved customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Experience creating, implementing, and governing technical standards across a matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office or similar

Pay Range:

$156,960.00 - $235,440.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 20% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
